Holly is currently available for new client commissions and is also taking bookings for live illustrating at events, which she has previously done for MAC cosmetics, Ted Baker, and UGG. Please get in touch to say hello, or to discuss your idea.
Holly Sharpe is an artist and illustrator from Scotland, UK. As well as working on commissions for various clients, Holly also dedicates a lot of time and focus to continually creating her own new drawings and illustrations. She is extremely passionate about what she does and has worked very hard to be able to shape what she loves doing into a career. Her creativity and drive has allowed her to work with a broad range of clients as well as selling her own work to a global audience.
"Sharpe brings the elegance of a fashion designer's line to the observation of human sympathies, discords and curiosities. Her fluid draughtsmanship and freedom with paint contribute to the creation of dynamic, vibrant pieces whether in colourful abstraction, or monotone drawings". (NewBloodArt, 2010)
Originally from Edinburgh, Holly studied printed textiles at Duncan of Jordanstone in Dundee, she then went on to work as a textile designer for a while as well as continuing to create her own original artwork. Along with a huge desire to create, Holly also thrives on meeting new people and experiencing new places. She has spent some time travelling and has covered a reasonable chunk of the world, to then return to the UK where she lived in London for a while. She is now based in Glasgow where she works from her studio in the West End and is also a lecturer part time at Glasgow Clyde College in both the illustration department as well as Fashion and Textiles.
Clients include: MAC Cosmetics, Gilda & Pearl, Marks and Spencer, Derwent pencils, UGG, Marie Claire, Chloé fragrances, University of Edinburgh, Beetroot, Brodies tea, Schwiing clothing Montréal, and Aston Martin Edinburgh.
